The original Bookninja was founded in 2003 as a collaboration between longtime pals George Murray and Peter Darbyshire. It flourished throughout the rest of the decade as one of the literary world’s go-to sites for book news and discussion.
Bookninja attracted readers, writers, editors, publishers, publicists, journalists, etc. of all levels, from ultra-famous authors like Margaret Atwood and Roddy Doyle to heads of multinational publishers to up-and-coming bloggers to regular readers from around the globe.
Never short of controversy, and thus very tiring, the original Bookninja shut down in 2011.
How long will it survive this time? There is no real telling. Get it while it’s good.
