Busy day here, so perhaps not so many posts. We’ll see how it turns out.

- Dune is being made into a new movie by an incredible (Canadian!) director and now Foundation is coming to screen and it looks amazing… Everything is coming up George (circa 1985);
- Speaking of George, circa 1985: tons of Coles stores are going dark… sniff;
- I thought this list of non-threatening poetry for noobs and fraidy cagtwas going to be chock full of Rupi-esque garbage, but it’s not;
- Authors quitting Rowling’s agent in protest… How does she not have a private agent? I don’t know… if I were a billionaire, would I go in to see the banker at the local TD? Unlikely;
- Movies reimagined as classic book covers;
- 700,000 nerds sign a petition to bring back Anne With An E;
- Fictional characters can teach real world goodness (I’ll be your Sam);
- In the backwater berg of an Ontario town I grew up in, a couple other martial arts nerds and I were lucky enough to find a quiet man who taught Jeet Kune Do and we studied with him for a few good years in the 80s… After the rigidity of Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu, and Karate, Bruce Lee’s philosophy seemed mind blowing to me then — moreso than these days when being water is more akin to a standing pool than a running brook;
- What is ONIX 3.0? I don’t care. But you might;
- Interesting window on how books are chosen to become movies;
- Interview with Mark Haddon: “Writers block is my default state”… ME TOO!;
